Through the abundant blessings of God, we honor and glorify Him by serving those in need, and partnering in ministry on a local and global level. Here is a sampling of how we do that...
Local hands-on service and ministry to food insecure individuals and families:
· We participate on a rotation basis with other area churches in preparing and serving 150-200 meals weekly at Grace UMC and through the Eighth Street Motel Ministry
· We provide ~150 bags of food during the Christmas break for local elementary school children
· We prepare monthly family meals for The Ronald McDonald House
· We prepare and deliver homecooked meals to community home-bound senior citizens on a weekly basis
· We supply food and hygiene products twice a month to individuals and families through the Eighth Street Motel Ministry.
· In partnership with the Rocky Branch Baptist Church and the Rocky Branch Fire Department, we supply food and hygiene products to our neighbors through a self-serve “Blessing Box”
In addition to “Mission of the Month” special offerings, we budget 20% of our general fund income to support various “beyond our neighborhood” ministries, such as:
· Rehoboth House (a ministry in Kenya which provides housing, food, clothing, education, transportation and work for orphans and widows)
· Gideon’s International (an organization of businessmen and professionals who, with their wives personally witness and distribute God’s Word to police, fire, medical and military personnel, prisoners, and students; and who place copies of Scripture in locations such as hotels, hospitals, convalescent homes, medical offices, domestic violence shelters and prisons/jails)
· Ozark Mission Project (a youth summer service project for hands-on service to provide improvements and accessibility to the elderly and disabled in Arkansas)
· Children and Family Advocacy Center of Benton County (a ministry which provides safe shelter and services to women and children in crisis)
· Soul’s Harbor of Northwest Arkansas (a ministry which provides transitional living and services to homeless men and those seeking freedom from addiction)
· Saving Grace (a ministry which serves young women who have aged out of foster care and/or are facing homelessness, providing housing, education assistance, career guidance, and coaching/counseling)
· Local Food Banks (Piney Point Baptist Church Food Pantry, Grace UMC Food Pantry, and NWA Food Bank)
· Baby Book Backpacks (a literacy project ministering to young, typically unmarried, mothers to help them nurture their babies and cultivate an early interest in and love of reading/learning)
· Arkansas State Veterans Home in Fayetteville (providing long term care for US Military Service Veterans)
